In addition to the many activities Akaroa has to offer, Mount
Vernon provides the following additional attractions right here on the estate.
Archery
Test your arm and relive an ancient art! There is usually a minimum of 12 people required for this activity, but we can accommodate a smaller group at an additional charge.

Paintball
The ultimate team game!
Get that adrenaline pumping and work together to get the best tactical win. We have our very own top-of-the-line equipment, and our estate is the perfect setting for forest warfare. Duration can be up to 1 hour - a minimum of 6 people is usually necessary, but we can accommodate a smaller group at an additional charge.
The price below includes paintballs - extras can be purchased. $45.00 per person.
Clay Bird Shooting
Try your eye on a popular sport which is a great challenge for both male & female suitable for smaller groups $39.00 per person.
Extra clays can be purchased.
Helicopter Rides
Experience the thrill of arriving on Mount Vernon’s lawn in a jet turbine helicopter, flying over the spectacular Banks Peninsula. We can arrange drop-off and/or pick-ups anywhere in Canterbury for any event.
From Mount Vernon, you can treat your team to a chopper ride to French Farm Winery for lunch, drop in to Duvauchelle for a spot of golf, or just enjoy the scenery.

Boating
Experience a thrilling ride in Mt Vernon America's Cup-style tender, powered by twin 150hp Yamaha motors. Take a tour of the harbour, try your luck with the local cod, or use it to transport your guests!
Sea Kayaking
Explore the shorelines of Akaroa Harbour at your leisure, or set a course for your team.
Abseiling
Test your limits to the heights. This is a professionally-set course and can be tailored to a variety of groups and skill-levels.
High Ropes Course
The ultimate in team-bonding! This half-day activity will test everyone to their limits.
Swimming with the Dolphins
Akaroa Harbour is home to large groups of rare Hectors Dolphins. Don your wetsuit and get up close and personal.
